Vitality Urology Institute is proud to announce that Dr. Jonathan Clavell, M.D., F.A.C.S., was invited to serve as international faculty at the 2025 Annual Congress of the Sociedad Mexicana de Urología, held in Guadalajara, Mexico in November 2025. This prestigious international meeting brought together more than 2,000 urologists and surgical specialists from across Mexico, Latin America, United States, Canada, and other parts of the world to discuss the latest advances in urologic surgery and men’s health.
During the congress, Dr. Clavell was invited to participate in two expert debates and a featured plenary session, addressing complex topics in reconstructive and prosthetic urology.
In the debate titled “Peyronie’s Disease: Beyond the Guidelines,” Dr. Clavell presented and defended the role of plaque incision and grafting surgery as a superior treatment option compared to penile plication in carefully selected patients with complex Peyronie’s disease, particularly in men with significant curvature, deformity, or penile shortening.
He also participated in a second expert debate focused on minimally invasive surgical treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), where he presented arguments supporting Rezum™ Water Vapor Therapy as a leading minimally invasive option for men seeking effective symptom relief while preserving sexual function.
As part of the main scientific program, Dr. Clavell delivered a featured plenary lecture titled “Penile Implant: Management of Complications to Optimize Patient Outcomes.” During this session, he presented multiple complex surgical cases and shared advanced techniques used to manage challenging prosthetic complications, addressing an auditorium of more than 2,000 attending urologists.
In addition to his academic presentations, Dr. Clavell was invited to perform a live surgical demonstration of inflatable penile implant placement, providing hands-on surgical education to urologists and trainees while demonstrating techniques to optimize outcomes in prosthetic surgery.
Dr. Clavell’s invitation to participate as international faculty at the Mexican Urological Society Congress highlights his continued contributions to the global field of sexual medicine, prosthetic urology, and reconstructive surgery, as well as his commitment to advancing surgical education and improving patient outcomes worldwide.
